After months of speculation, we now know who gets Doctor Who Series 2 first - Canada or the US. The winner is - Canada! French Canada. Ztele http://www.ztele.com/index.jsp premieres Series 2 on Tuesday 22 August with L'invasion de Noel (The Christmas Invasion), with the 13 regular episodes following in subsequent weeks. Episodes will air: Tuesday 8PM EDT Thursday 5PM EDT Friday 10PM EDT Saturday 8AM EDT Sunday 4PM EDT Tuesday 2PM EDT (one week later) |

US' SciFi Channel http://www.scifi.com has tentatively scheduled their Series 2 premiere for Friday September 29 at 9PM EDT/PDT. It appears that New Earth will air at 9PM & 11PM that night. Tooth and Claw will air at 10PM & Midnight. Doctor Who will air Fridays at 9PM beginning in October as part of a block with new Battlestar Galactica episodes and another drama. The Christmas Invasion is being skipped for now (grrrr!) and will hopefully air around Christmas. As a lead-in to this premiere, SciFi will have an 8 hour daytime marathon earlier on September 29. Episodes 6 through 13 of Series 1 (Dalek through The Parting of the Ways) air from 8AM to 4PM EDT/PDT (5AM to 1PM PDT on Satellite). |
UK's BBC Three http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree is doing a repeat run of Doctor Who. Being BBC Three, the schedule has already changed, so check below for the most recent info on days and broadcast times. It appears that Series 2 will encore beginning 21 August, though the listings for 21 and 22 August do not give episode titles. |

KBTC 28 Tacoma, WA http://www.kbtc.org skipped over episodes 5 and 6 of Frontier In Space last weekend, going straight to The Green Death (they already planned to skip over Planet of the Daleks). At a guess, they skipped the last 2 episodes due to rights issues with the Daleks. After 3 years, it is high time that the issues over Daleks and Terry Nation episodes were resolved so that there aren't these gaps in classic series episodes when they air on TV. |
